Tamagoyaki (Japan)



= Tamagoyaki = a rolled omelet japanese style with a base of dashi stock. You first add a layer of omelet batter wait for it to cook a little and roll it on it self and keep adding batter until you have a log like omelet!




finalizing the Tamago ... I love the little rectangular skillet to make this omelet!!!! :)




Section cut of the tamago.... can you see the rings? like a tree... this also reminds me of german cake "baumkuchen" LOL. The texture is slightly soft and moist. Great morning treat or also can be used as a topping to nigiri style sushi.
