Japanese - Thai Lunch

Tempura fritters / Thai Chicken-Lime noodle soup / Sushi

veggies in tempura batter... so easy to make just chop mushrooms, carrot, peas,a little sesame seeds and seasonings like salt and furikake and voila! You've got TEMPURA!

Dessert! Coconut sticky rice pudding granished with Pomegranate arils.

Tamagoyaki (Japan)

= Tamagoyaki = a rolled omelet japanese style with a base of dashi stock. You first add a layer of omelet batter wait for it to cook a little and roll it on it self and keep adding batter until you have a log like omelet!

finalizing the Tamago ... I love the little rectangular skillet to make this omelet!!!! :)

Section cut of the tamago.... can you see the rings? like a tree... this also reminds me of german cake "baumkuchen" LOL. The texture is slightly soft and moist. Great morning treat or also can be used as a topping to nigiri style sushi.

Chicken Lo-Mein with Steamed sticky rice

I've found out that the best noodles are the fresh ones you can get from Asian groceries. They can be found in the fridge section and all you do is boil them a little or add them to soups and voila ready to go but the best part is the texture of the noodle...much better than the dried kind.
